Dancers, singers, poets, artists, teachers, politicians, people from all walks of life, all ages, all cultures, all races, many languages, and almost all religions shared their gratitude for life and expressed their hopes and desires for the future. The Ultra-Orthodox Jews seemed to be the only group I noticed who chose NOT to participate in the world-wide events because it conflicted with the Jewish Calendar and fell on the Sabbath. How interesting, I thought, that although the world recognizes and uses many different calendars, for the most part we all decided that 2000 would be a major turning point for us - general consensus. Also, how interesting to see who didn't want to be part of the rest of the world, to stay separate and isolated.
During these celebrations I was overwhelmed with so many emotions, visions and the awareness that at that moment, millions upon millions of people were all focused together on the same things. I was in awe for more than four days straight! We saw ancient and modern images. We saw all the geometrical patterns that we know of. We saw all of life aside from human beings - the elements - geography, lakes, oceans, rivers, mountains, deserts, valleys, snow, water, earth, lots of sun, stars, moon, animals, birds, fish.
Then there were the translations of the feelings into words. The key words that came to my mind to describe what I was seeing and feeling were UNITY, PEACE, LOVE, HARMONY, LIGHT, GENTLENESS, POWER, JOY, OPPORTUNITY, PARTNERSHIP, CREATION, HOPE, EXCITEMENT, MAGICAL, SPIRITUAL, WONDERMENT, BEAUTY, FUN. You probably have words of your own you could add to these. Did you happen to notice how many songs of love were sung? There were no images of violence, no cruel words spoken, no fear, no threats, no destruction. "Armageddon" didn't happen. Y2K was a non-event. We worked hard to get this time for ourselves. There were organizations who volunteered years of work to having one day in peace, January 1, 2000, and the media and governments helped to bring the world closer together. Lightworkers around the globe focused on changing the fear and potential disasters into beauty, peace, and joy - through love. It was a time we experienced REAL heaven on Earth. WOW! WE did that. We know its possible to live this way, too. We proved it to ourselves, even if for only one day, two days, a weekend. It was a great start. But now, what next?
In the channeling/lightworker group of which I am a part - yes, I continue to study channeling and practice it each week. I learn new techniques, refine my craft, work on my own inner processes and do global lightwork - we discussed what we witnessed and felt throughout the changeover and how much we were touched by it. Torah, our teacher - an avatar/spirit channeled by Shawn Randall - encouraged us to use what we experienced as our intentions, trigger key words and feelings of the new year's celebrations and incorporate them into our lives as creative and positive tool.
I, too, feel that the doorway we just walked through, only a couple of weeks ago (and yet it feels like the last century was so long ago - REALLY in the past!), is something we can continue to build by keeping that momentum of the feelings we experienced going throughout the year, even throughout the century. Just by remembering the words and feelings we can create the vibration that echoes the start of 2000 and keep it reverberating for as long as we want to. We can use this every day as our focus of what we want to create for ourselves and our beautiful blue planet because it's how we want it to be; it's how we decided to bring it, our future, to ourselves. I ask you to remember our new year throughout the year. Keep the vibration strong. Remember the words you feel represent your feelings for the new and use them often, feel them anew.
The past year, century and millennium is over. We can let go of all the old stuff we don't want anymore, and start fresh, from zero, and build from here on for all the things we would like to see and experience in our lives. And yes, we can always do this, but marking this time, with this great driving energy behind us, we can do so much. If you would like to share your visions, hopes, desires for the coming year, century or millennium, or what key words are meaningful for you and why, how the celebrations effected you, I will be very happy to post them with your permission.
Wishing each and every one of you a glorious new everything.
