NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE FOR 2006

This new year of 2006 is the next stepping stone of our opportunity to realize how intricately we are connected to all of life. This means that whatever we do to anyone else, we are doing to ourselves, and vice-versa. We can see others as a reflection of ourselves. When we encounter someone who is angry, is there some anger within us that being reflected in them, do we react to them with anger? When someone gives us a hug in love, can we consider that love is emanating from us to them and the hug is being reflected back to us?
A couple of years ago I wrote a New Year's message that had the key word "now." I ask you to read this article again and see it with new eyes as you begin this new year because the world "now" and mirrors play a very important role for all of us. This year we will experience more escalation in how things are manifested. Therefore, it is recommended that we pay more attention to our essence in the present, and what we are feeling and saying about ourselves and others. If we cry that we want peace in the world, WE must be peaceful within ourself, first. The world is the outer reflection of what is going on inside of ourselves. Look around - how many storms, fires, water damage has occurred this past year, up until the present day? There is the war with Iraq, the unsettled battles in several places on the planet, corrupt politicians, hate speeches from world leaders about Israel or Jews, threats of nuclear war with Iran or China. The energies are raging around, creating, destroying, creating anew.
This is a co-creation with the earth elements that is a reflection of the mass consciousnesses' (or unconsciousnesses') own inner turbulence and polarities. This turbulence also creates uncertainty, insecurity, fear. And the more fear there is comes the desire to be MORE separate from what is foreign, and cling to what is comfortable and known. So, I see the combination of all of these energies as creating inner and then outer conflict on all levels of consciousness and physicality. The remedy for all of this is to go within and remember our Source, and that we all come from that same Source; we're always connected to it. No one is better or more loved by the Source than another because of their gender, race, religion, age, sexual preference, or country. We can all tap into this divine consciousness for ourselves, it's who we are!
All of this is a tremendous opportunity for people to understand more about themselves and their beliefs and who holds power over them. If we recall the past few years, for instance, how many cases of child molestation and rape were brought against the Catholic church? Many Catholics put their complete trust and faith and belief in their priests only to discover how the priests abused their roles as clergy and abused children. What did that do to Catholics' beliefs and trust and faith? This week miners lost their lives and their families wanted to have faith and trust their religion, the media and their mine officials to bring all the miners out alive. They wanted to believe that safety measures were trustworthy - had they read the safety reports of years past? They prayed, they celebrated. They believed false reports and didn't even try to use their own intuition to know if their relatives were alive or not. Then they felt angry and betrayed because all but one of the miners perished. Conflicts of beliefs and a lack of trust in the self is the result. The power, for these folks, is outside of themselves. Their belief in God is now in question. Maybe the recognition of the loss, the questioning, will bring them back to themselves and they will start taking personal responsibility as more aware beings. Maybe they will also question why they choose to be miners. The tsunamis and hurricanes and quakes are a very harsh warning to all of us about where and how we live, how we need to be prepared for emergencies and how we need to help one another. THEY'RE ALL WAKE UP CALLS! showing us how we need to be more in touch with our lives, with our entire planet and not to get mired in blame, fear, or joylessness.
If there were no media, no books, no religion, no politicians, no schools, how would you know what to do - all on your own? So wake up, pay attention to your body and multidimensional soul and the earth - your physical home. Learn how to listen to what your body needs. Listen to nature with your heart. Be here now and learn to trust your divine gifts of intuition, your heart-mind. We have the benefit of so much information through technology, but it must be balanced within our spiritual selves in order for it to work for the best of all, or we could self-destruct. It is only when we embrace all that we are and realize everyone is a reflection of ourselves, and we all share the same energy, that we can have a very positive effect upon our world. It's not about us versus them. It's all us - and this can be the miracle we all seek.
